Francisco Morales Arcia is COO at Fundamentia, a Spanish deep-tech company building enterprise AI for regulated industries including banking, insurance, and telco. Since 2015 he has helped conceive and scale SimplÿData, Fundamentia's intelligent document processing platform, which processes around 1.2 million pages per month in production at several of Spain's largest banks and mid-market financial institutions, delivering 60–80% reductions in document-processing time and cost for its customers.

His work centers on the architecture questions that regulated document processing forces: balancing the flexibility of large language models with the precision, determinism, and cost control that Tier-1 compliance reviews demand. SimplÿData uses a hybrid design that pairs LLMs for language understanding with a pattern-based layer for deterministic extraction, and supports on-premise and local-inference deployments for customers who cannot rely on probabilistic outputs alone. Francisco writes and speaks on data sovereignty, GDPR, and the EU AI Act as architecture decisions rather than compliance slogans, and on the anonymization work behind Fundamentia's PrivacÿShield.

Francisco has spent nearly four decades at the boundary of mathematics, artificial intelligence, and the operational reality of running technology companies. Before Fundamentia he was founder and CEO of SimplÿSocials, a social-media analytics startup later merged into Fundamentia; led conversational-AI products as Director of Virtual Dialogue Agents at Artificial Solutions; and served as Technology VP at Ydilo AVS. Earlier he taught discrete mathematics, mathematical logic, and AI fundamentals at Universidad de La Habana and software engineering at Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from UNED (2000) and a BSc in Mathematics from TU Dresden (1988), with executive education at IESE Business School. He works in Spanish, English, and German, and is based in Alicante, Spain.
