Co-founder and CTO, ORKOM · LinkedIn · orkom.fr
Rayan Azmatally is co-founder and chief technology officer of ORKOM, a French intelligent document processing platform he started with CEO Antoine Degoy in the autumn of 2025. ORKOM extracts fields from invoices, delivery notes and case files, checks them against each other and against reference data with deterministic rules, and routes only the exceptions to human review. Rayan leads the product's technical architecture, from the extraction and verification layers to the audit trail and workflow versioning, and is based in Grenoble.
He writes on ORKOM's blog about the engineering side of document automation: why template OCR breaks on variable layouts and what vision models change, and the seven production workstreams that separate an extraction prototype from a system a finance team can rely on, from table rows and evaluation harnesses to model migrations. He also announced ORKOM's entry into the Databricks Connected Partner Program in July 2026.
Before ORKOM, Rayan worked as a machine learning researcher at Amadeus in Nice in 2025, building fraud detection and robot fingerprinting models on large data volumes with Spark, Kubernetes, Azure and Databricks. In 2024 he was a machine learning research intern at DIAMSENS, a CEA technology startup in Meylan, working on anomaly detection and prediction for sensor time series. He holds an engineering degree in applied mathematics and computer science from Ensimag, Grenoble INP (2022 to 2025), and studied artificial intelligence and statistics at Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon.
