Kushal Byatnal is co-founder of Extend, a New York company that sells document processing APIs to engineering teams: parsing, extraction, splitting, classification, PDF form filling and multi-step workflows. He founded it in 2023 with Eli Badgio, in Y Combinator's Winter 2023 batch. Before that he was an early engineer at Brex, where he worked on document problems behind financial products, and co-founded the creator payments company Stir, according to the Y Combinator profile. At Extend he works on product and technical direction for parsing, extraction and production document pipelines.

He wrote Extend's Series A announcement in June 2025. The 2026 update of Extend's profile on this site started from a text Extend supplied, which IDP Software checked against Extend's public sources before publishing.
